Youth Triathlon

The Superior Kiwanis Youth Triathlon will be held May
20, 2007 in Superior, Colorado. The event marks the first leg of the
Colorado Junior Triathlon Series, which is officially sanctioned by the
United States National Triathlon Association. Race two of the
series will take place in Longmont, June 2nd; race three will take
place in Colorado Springs, June 24th, with the final leg being held in
Arvada, July 14th. Participants are not obligated to participate
in all 4 events. For additional information on the triathlon race

The United States National Triathlon Association, in conjunction with
its respective regional governing bodies, strives to promote athletic
awareness amongst America's youth. The Superior Kiwanis Youth
Triathlon is limited to a capacity of 300 participants that will range
from ages 6 - 14, and will constitute 3 separate divisions: |

Team

There will be a team event offered for
the red
and blue
divisions.
Teams must consist of 3 individual participants. Each team member will
participate in one of the respective "legs" of the race i.e. swim, bike,
and run. The distances for the team events will be the same as those
indicated for the respective red and blue divisions. All team events
will take place following each division (i.e. team event for red
division will take place directly following the individual red division
race.)

| The venue for the event will be the Rock
Creek Recreation Center, located at 1650 S. Indiana Road, Superior,
Colorado. The event will be held between the hours of 8:00 – 11:00 AM.
Age is based on year of birth and NOT on race day age.
Chip timing will be used to officially time each event.

Packet Pickup
There will be a mandatory pre-race meeting to be held at
5:30 PM on Saturday, May 19 at Superior Elementary School directly
adjacent to the event site. All race packets will be distributed at the
